Tae Kwon Do

The picture above is of Mr. Yates, a third-degree instructor at our school. He passed away recently. He will be missed by his family and all of the students at Black Dragon's Den.

Tae kwon do is a Korean martial art first developed as early as 18 B.C. I got into it because of my friend Mandi. My school is the Black Dragon's Den, and I have been there for almost three years! I tested for my black belt November 7, 2004! See HERE for more info and pictures!

This is Leyna breaking a board at the 2002 Home Show.

Recently I attended our Black Dragon's Den tournament, and it was quite a success. I took second place in sparring, third place in breaking, and third place in forms. I did not place in my weapons division, but I did a bo form. A bo is a staff.

This is my friend Mandi at a tournament. She is a 2nd-degree black belt.

This is Mandi's mom, Mrs. Bristoll, at the same tournament, demonstrating a form.
